Re: Yay/Nay: Patio Furniture

  • Yay! I almost bought this set myself but decided to go with the bigger rectangular table and get the chairs elsewhere. DH was concerned this table might not be big enough. So that is the only thing to consider. The rectangle set is only $25 more until Sunday.

  • Yup, that one. We're going to buy that table by itself ($75) and then buy slingback chairs to go with it. Big Lots has some for $19 each, but our local grocery store has ones I like better that will match the metal. I personally don't like the massive cushions because I'm afraid they'll get dirty, wet, moldy, etc.

  • Love both of the tables and the metal work on the chairs, totally hate the cushions. Now, I like the fabric on the cushions, but I've had so many negative experiences with big patio furniture cushions like that, no matter how pretty they are, I cringe.

  • Yay! I really like both of them.

  • Yay to both of them! We have a patio set and we bring the chairs and umbrella in everyday that we use them. That way we don't have to worry about outdoor elements ruining the fabric. Just a suggestion.

  • I think I am the only Nay. If I remember correctly, not sure if I like this style with your backyard area.  You had a patio picture before right?

My personal preference is for solid patio furniture, but to do that nowadays, you'll have to scope out Craigslist for old wrought iron or wood.

So personally, I would say Nay, but for you, I may say Yay.  Both options are pretty shapes and styles.  And they're going to be on a covered porch (if I'm remembering right?) so they shouldn't wear quickly.

  • It's a covered patio with some lattice columns and the patio is blue painted concrete. :-/

  • I like the first set you posted (the cushions).  I would like the second set - style-wise - but I'm not a huge fan of the cushion design on that one.  Is it possible to get the bigger table with the first chairs?

BTW, that's an awesome deal on patio furniture!  I'm going to have to look there for a new set for us.  Ours are terribly old and beginning to get rusty.

It's possible because the pieces sell separately (without losing value) but the round set has gray metal and the rectangle set has dark brown with bronze spatter metal.
