anyone love Food Network???

They have a new channel coming out soon. It will replace Fine Living Channel and it's called the Cooking Channel. DH and I are very excited. . . we love to cook and watch cooking shows. The new channel will have more exotic food. . .shows like Indian Made Easy, Chinese Made Easy, and Caribbean Made Easy. mmmmmmm. Yes, I'm such a dork.

Re: anyone love Food Network???

  • That's neat, since it does seem like the Food Network has gotten less about cooking shows and more about other things. I'll have to try and tune in to some of the ethnic ones, I feel like anything "chinese" that I've ever tried to make w/out a pre-made sauce has been terrible.
  • I hadn't heard about this, but I'll definitely be tuning in.  We really enjoy ethnic food and have had some luck making it at home, but I'd love more recipes.  Although, I hope we will be able to find the ingredients needed.  That has been my biggest problem with ethnic cooking so far.
  • yeah I saw the commercials the other day on FLN - I'm excited!  It looks like it has some real promise!  There was story about it in the NYT the other day too - apparently it will have some old Julia Child episodes on there too !!!!
  • when is it supposed to start?

  • I love food network and am very excited to hear about this new channel! I just went to the Food Network sponsored Wine & Food Festival in Miami in Feb. and it was awesome! I highly recommend any of their events if you get the chance to go. It was so fun to see the chef's personalities outside of TV.
  • That will be nice.
