WWYD?--bills or trip?

Ok, gals... (since MM didn't reply to my post and I'm adding on to it...)

WWYD?...

I have a cc bill that I can eventually pay off in a few months OR I can sell a small amt of mutual funds and pay it off now (the MF's aren't doing a thing for me where they are and it's not a ton, BUT...)

I can also take the MF's and surprise DH with a vaca somewhere next year if I plan very carefully... (like Mexico again or ?)

or be good and just save. ugh..

    I would be good and save (or pay off the cc, then save). Boring, I know, but having a good cushion of $ in the bank is almost as relaxing as a vacation, to me. Once you have the cc paid off, can you start a little vacation fund account to save up bit by bit for a trip?

    This! Once you're not paying a monthly bill for the cc, you can take that money and stick it in your trip fund! J and I have a specific bank account called "Greece Trip". We save a little each week so it's less painful.

    A trip would be wonderful but I'm with the practical side of the room. Better to pay the cc bill now and save for vacation later.
