so has anyone started thinking about what they're getting their mom/MIL for mother's day??

Smile doing some brainstorming over here! i might get my mom an ice cream maker & cookbook. or a new Texas gardening book & new straw gardening hat. i don't know.

    I'm getting MIL a Texas travel book. The ILs have never traveled much, but they're starting to get into short trips together, and I want to encourage more of that. As for my mom, I have no idea what I'll get. Honestly, I'll probably gi the cop out route and get her a pandora bracelet charm.

    Not sure what Duck has in mind for his mom, but I already have my mom's.  A few months ago she was photographed and published in Texas Monthly for their Texas dancehall edition.  I was able to contact the photographer and get the photo blown up to 11x14 and signed by him.  (Can't afford to frame it the way she would want to, so the picture will have to suffice.)

    Thanks!  It was a complete shock to open the magazine and go... WHOA!  That's mom!  They didn't even know that the guy was taking photos for the magazine.  Luckily, the photographer was incredibly nice and the staff at Texas Monthly has just been wonderful to work with.
