Sanford restaurant recs?
We have some friend who will be passing through NC and staying in Fayetteville. We are in GSO and we are trying to find a good place to meet up in the middle. Sanford seems like our best option. Does anyone have any good restaurant recommendations for the Sanford area. Other suggestions between GSO and Fayetteville are also welcome.

I live in Sanford, and except for Baybreeze, none of those are worth the drive.
Davidson's Steaks is on US 1.
Downtown, Bella's Bistro has just become The Steele Pig, and everyone I know raves about it. http://www.thesteelepig.com/

If you want coffee/dessert, Steele Street Coffee Bar (Across from Steele Pig) has amazing coffee and even better cakes.
My parents live in Sanford and we're always meeting them for dinner or hearing about the latest restaurants in town. I second Davidson's for steaks and the new Steele Pig! The Steele Pig is supposed to be a replica of Raleigh's The Pit and it gets really good reviews.
