Restaurant in Cambridge

For my BIL's farewell dinner before he leaves for his open ended trip to Africa. I cannot stomach looking at menus right now but he has asked me to choose a place. We did Green Street last time I saw him. Budget- $25 a plate. Central/Harvard/Kendall Squares most desirable.

Pasta is good. I can't stomach the idea of funky food right now so keep that in mind.

Thanks for any ideas :)

Re: Restaurant in Cambridge

  • The Red House in Harvard Square is great.  The prices are reasonable and the food is good.  They have lots of different choices (including pasta).
  • I've heard Dante is good. I've been to Rendezvous in Central and it was very good. The food is a little funky, but they also have pizzas & such.

  • I am so much better- I can look at menus today! Yay!

The Red House and Dante are both appealing. I'll see what he says about those! :) Thanks!

  • Glad you're feeling better!

What will he be doing in Africa?

Attending the world cup then "bumming around"

That sounds really fun!  I'd love to make it over to South Africa, so much history, culture, etc.  I think it could be such a profound and moving experience.

Although, the World Cup would be fun too, my DH would love to go, but the timing didn't work out this year.  Oh, well, maybe Brazil in 2014?

World cup will be fun. You don't bum around Africa. He's not being very smart about the rest of his travels, but he's an adult and can take care of himself.
