Any recs for inexpensive bedroom stuff?
I really need to fill my guest room and quick! We have quite a few ppl wanting to come and stay with us and we currently only have an air mattress and a couch for ppl to sleep on.
Does anyone know where we can find an inexpensive bed frame and mattress? Possibly an end table too? We don't want to purchase a full bedroom set b/c there's not enough room for a full dresser which isn't a problem since there's plenty of closet space in the room. I've already looked at IKEA and value city furniture.
TIA!!!
Re: Any recs for inexpensive bedroom stuff?
I would have recommended IKEA if you hadn't already said something since we have picked up some perfectly serviceable nightstands there.
If you are only looking for a night stand and bed frame, you might want to check out Macy's clearance section where you have floor models for sale and scratch & dent (I know there is one in the Florence Macy's Home Store). Ashley furniture also has one but I can't remember which store has the clearance section.
We bought an inexpensive metal Queen headboard and footboard for our guest room on Overstock.com. Free shipping.
Original Mattress Factory has great quality mattress at affordable prices. I believe they can deliver in 3 days or less. They make all their mattresses in their factory in fairfield (I think).
For funiture, what about Craiglist? Furniture Fair was pretty inexpensive when we were looking for non-bedroom furniture and you can pick up your stuff from the warehouse that same day if you want. Alternatively, there's always people selling stuff on my work message board which I could try to check for you tmrw if you're interested.

We got our basic bed frame from Sam's for 40.00. No head board, but we didn't want one. I picked up a side table and lamp from target for about 30.00. Both are a little too small, but they do the job for now. We already had the mattress and box springs. For the bedding we got sheets at garden ridge, a duvet cover at Ikea, and a bed skirt from target.
