So ladies, how was your weekend?
We had a fun weekend.
Friday: We had a business associate over to view our process and learn about it. Once he left, we went lunar bowling with some friends.
Saturday: We walked for the March of Dimes, followed by a much needed nap. Then we went to lunch with Dh's cousin and her daughter and a second lunch with friends afterward lol. After lunch, we went to the mall to get our beta keys for starcraft 2 (we are huge gamers and were stoked). Once we had the keys we went home to d/l the game. While our net was tied up, we went out with friends to Frankie's Fun Park and played laser tag and some arcade games.
Sunday: The d/l was complete and we spent the majority of the day playing starcraft 2. We also cleaned the roaster and watched Ironman in preparation for Ironman 2.
Re: How was your weekend?
Friday - Dinner with my work wife and husband-in-law and actual husband. We went to one of favorite restaurant, ate lamb burgers, went home, drank our new home brew (they didn't die - yay!), and watched the Celtics win (PAUL PIERCE AT THE BUZZER!!!!!!).
Saturday - Woke up, ate toast, decided to go shopping, took train to shopping, said, "Hmm . . . . we are really close to Chinatown so we should go HERE and HERE and stuff ourselves silly." So that happened. And then we went to Old Navy and Uniqlo and then I decided it was hot and crowded and I wanted to go home RIGHTNOW. So we went home, took a nap, and then had Polish food with a friend of mine from college and her fiance.
Sunday - Woke up, drank too much coffee, and then went to walk a dog at the animal shelter. YAY! Except not because STUPID NY CARES VOLUNTEERS TOOK ALL THE DOGS. I guess I should just be happy the dos were walked. Whatever. Then we went and got those donuts I told you guys about.
I need a moment of silence for those donuts.
Seriously, they were moment of silence good. I was moaning on the street they were so good. I may go after work today to get more before they close. All other donuts (except apple cider) have been ruined for me for the rest of my life.
Then we decided to finish the shopping we have to end early yesterday because it was hot and crowded. We walked over the Williamsburg bridge and that's when we realized we were going to close to Chinatown again so we should probably eat cheap crispy duck and order the wrong kind of dumplings (I wanted soup dumplings, damnit). I bought more clothes then we went home, spiffed up my resume, and that was it.
Can you tell I got zero sleep last night so now I'm hopped up on too much caffeine and bored?!
Weekend was pretty good.
DH took me out Friday night. Then the weather was getting kind of bad and we had two scared animals. Penny was under the bed i nthe extra bedroom and when Snap wasn't in the bathroom(he never just goes and lays in the bathroom) he was in my lap just shakeing, I held him and petted him and he finally calmed down.
Had to work Saturday. Weather kinda got bad again but not as bad as other places in MS. T&P to all those hit by the tornados. Came home and done some running around with DH then home for a nap. Working on saturday drains me. We were getting ready for the race, then I cooked supper for DH and BIL.
Sunday we went to the race. Had fun, I made some improvment in my drifting but DH was AWESOME!!! He did 2 passes on the track where he drifted the whole thing. I'll post video if I can.
Here's a pic of him doin' his thang.
That's BIL in the passenger seat wearing my pink helmet!! lol
My weekend was ok.
Friday - We rented Lovely Bones and made frozen pizza. I fell asleep during the movie. I've read the book so knew the storyline.
Saturday - Was pretty busy. We had our IUI appointment in the morning. It took about 3 hours to get everything done. MIL wanted to see the Disney movie, Oceans, so we took her. The movie was ok. Pretty much what you would see on the Discovery channel. The background music was very mellow instrumental and I was already tired so nodded off a few times I think. In the evening we went to a friend's house for dinner and to play cards.
Sunday - Pretty lazy day. DH and I went to a little hole in the wall restaurant for breakfast. We had pancakes that were as big as a wagon wheel. I only made a small dent in them before going into carb overload. They were very yummy though. The rest of the day was spent playing video games, watching tv and doing a little housework.
Fri---I worked out-DH went fishing... (his NEW thing..and I think 1/2 the neighborhood men's thing, too-seems they're all new to fishing-wha?!?). We get back, watch 2 episodes of LOST on the computer and he says-let's go! We went to our local awesome ice cream place... I got Choc Rasp Truffle-yum!
Sat-worked. Got some committed future sales!!! ($120K worth-whoo hoo!) Bought shoes (cause Cassie doesn't...;)) Went to visit a friend for 'happy hour'-she was having a party, but no one really showed-poor girl!-and I had to leave as we had SIL and fam coming. They came-ate pizza, watched the Penguins -and we ditched them-the slackers we are-and went to bed while they hooted and hollered. Our neighbors must think we moved cause we're never up late!
Sun-SIL and fam still here... went to Perkin's-ugh. Went to our 'new' local casino- Virtual Blackjack is WEIRD... let me tell you! Went home. They left, I caught up with my Project Runway-sooo glad the one didn't win! DH cooked the trout he caught the other day-was pretty good-with pesto on it. I was a slacker... did some certification stuff online.zzzz... Yep-we're exciting! (I'll have some exciting weekends coming up, so it's good to relax now)
Weekend went by way too fast...
Friday - DH cut the grass and I weeded. Cooked frozen pizza for dinner and then ran to Kohls to get my son some clothes for soccer practice. YaY for Kohls 15% off coupons. I also got 2 new bras and some new panties (they are Bali and are my new favorites for the gals who were looking for new undies).
Saturday - My son made a clay creation in art class and it was entered into his school districts art show. He was the only third grader from his school and was so proud - so were we! Then he had a soccer game in the afternoon and lost bad 10-5. To lift his spirits we went to Ruby Tuesdays afterwards and then to Bruster's for ice cream.
Sunday - My goddaughter made her first holy communion so we had the party in the afternoon. Then grocery shopping. I feel like I need a weekend from my weekend.
Friday - Had another ultrasound and successful NT scan. Took myself to the outlets afterwards since I had to get blood drawn. We went out to dinner after DH got home from work.
Saturday - Trip to Target, laundry, hanging around the house, and went to see Date Night.
Sunday - Grocery shopping then headed to the beach to a party for a friend leaving for Iraq soon. DH was really excited to tell everyone about the baby and show ultrasound pictures on his BlackBerry. We saw some friends from his last ship that we hadn't seen in awhile, including one whose baby we hadn't met yet (she's 5 months old now). She was super cute and could not keep her eyes off me! Haha, she must have known. I had a good time playing with her.
Seems like my weekends are getting shorter and shorter.
Friday night: Went to see my cousins who came down to go to Disneyland on Saturday (they have annual passes and always stay at my mom's house when they go). And, one of my cousins has a boyfriend who is living in Colorado (for work), but flies into Anaheim to go to Disneyland whenever she does so that's when they get to hang out.
Saturday: Ran errands, then DH and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and grabbed some food and a blanket and headed out to the park under a shady tree and caught a little league game. So relaxing! Later that night, we headed to our friend's house for a bbq and to watch the Lakers get their butts kicked
**I get a text and phone call at about 2 am from my brother saying he had big news, I was half asleep and called him back and my cousins had just got home from Disneyland and apparently my cousin w/the boyfriend GOT ENGAGED! We were all shocked because hardly anyone has met the guy yet, and it all came out of nowhere (to us anyway). So of course I was excited to go over there Sunday to congratulate her and check out her ring.**
Sunday: Headed back over to my mom's to get the details. Everyone was still shocked, but excited for her. I guess they can't wait to get hitched because they are now planning a Vegas wedding in JULY (yes, in 2 months and no, she's not pregnant....LOL). Now, I'm scrambling to see if DH and I can make it. It was also nice to hang out with my older cousins' 2 adorable little boys!
DH and I went to bed early last night....I wasn't ready for Monday.
Friday - hung out with our friends for a mini-cookout and movie, and got to visit their 2-week old son (who is just absolutely precious, btw), and watched "Men Who Stare at Goats" which was awesome - great movie. I think George Clooney is what made it for us....just to hear him be all "I have Jedi powers" was totally worth it, lol :-)
Saturday - had portraits taken for our church directory. They came out great but we couldn't afford to buy anything, so we just bought the proofs so we can order some later. Lunch with my parents, and then I took DH to IKEA for the first time so he could love it as much as I do :-). Walked around, had a drink in the cafeteria section, walked around some more, and then headed to our hotel for the weekend (DH travels for work, and he gets to keep his hotel points for himself, which meant free night "out of town" since Orlando is only 45min away to work on some relaxation and some **TMI** attempted baby-making)
Sunday - I either caught a small stomach bug or ate something bad. Had some bad tummy issues which calmed down enough for us to go to a baby shower at the park, but the heat yesterday didn't help, and tummy issues returned with a vengeance, so we came home and chilled. I spent the rest of the night going from the couch to the bathroom for the rest of the evening until about 8/9pm, before things calmed down again. Finally went to bed.
our weekend was good but went to fast.
Friday we just stayed in.
Saturday I had to work that day. Then got home made some dinner and then we went out to do karaoke. I didnt get to bed until 3am. HAvent had a late night like that in forever...which was fun but....
Sunday I woke up at 8
so I only got like 5 hours of sleep. So I was completly worthless all day. We watched movies and lounged. Ordered chinese for dinner.
The weekend went way too fast.
Friday we hung out with some friends.
Saturday we went to a good tapas restaurant for lunch with friends...they were having a good deal for lunch and we ended up staying for like 4 hours just hanging out. I got some Ben & Jerrys and was in love (Haven't had it in forever).
Sunday went to the mall and got some maternity pants...seriously the yoga pants are the most comfortable pair of pants I've ever worn. Went grocery shopping and relaxed.
Saturday morning I went to the spa and had a nice facial, a very cloudy steam shower, and a really amazing massage. I always think it's funny when people say they fall asleep. Now I have to raise my hand. It was near the end and I was only out for a second or two, though. the spa doesn't look like much from the outside, but I'm pretty happy with my experience and the prices!
J took care of a lot of the cleaning while I was asleep and while I was at the spa.
We went to Medieval Times...almost didn't make it. First, our friends were late because they didn't realize we were supposed to be there at 4:30. They were going to leave at 4:30 and they live an hour away! They were bringing the babysitter, too, so I was really irritated because I wouldn't have much time to meet with her before we had to be out the door. Then I went online to buy tickets and it was sold out! Jason was livid and his mood was ruined for the evening. We went anyway for standby. Eventually, they let us in and I had a nice time...but my good time was capped by J's inability to have a good time. I so hate that. He often ruins good outings with his bad attitude. Luckily, we were sitting with his best friend, who was being a goof ball, so I know he laughed and it wasn't a complete bust.
We were invited to an after party, but we ran out of babysitter time and Scarlett was already crashed out for the evening.
Sunday was beautiful, so I took Scarlett to a little nearby zoo. She liked to watch the kids more than the animals. We were 10ft from a giant elephant and she didn't have a reaction...too busy watching a girl in a cherry-print dress. She did notice the geese, probably because they were at the fence. Her favorite part? The train. She loves the kiddie trains! I'm hoping this means she'll like Disneyland.
We went to South Coast Plaza afterwards (which is a giant mall with shi-shi stores and walking douchebags). I hadn't been in years, so it was interesting to see how it had changed.
When I got home, J was bummed that we didn't take him to the zoo. I totally asked him, but he was just waking up and passed. Sucks for you, dude!
Scarlett was overstimulated and cranky that night. She didn't sleep well and kept coughing herself awake. I didn't sleep well either as a result - so today I'm exhausted. I need another spa trip!
