How was your weekend (and rainy monday?)
Hi Ladies! I hope everyone is doing well! How was your weekend?
The sunshine cannot return soon enough!! We had a great weekend - went to the brooklyn flea market on Saturday and found some dutch stroopwafels! Not as good as real Dutch ones, but yummy regardless. Sunday we spent pretty much the whole day inside - we had some lovely visitors! Tracy & Beatrix stopped over for a fun baby/mommy visit. Beatrix is just adorable!
Last week, we submitted an application for another apartment in our neighborhood - we're waiting to hear back from them! It's exciting and crazy at the same time that we might have to start packing! We might have to find a new tenant for the apartment if we move by June 1st. So if you know of anyone looking for a 2bd (railroad apt) for June, let me know.
I'm glad to hear you had a great GTG! I loved Essex when I went the first time and can't wait to go out for brunch again!

We had a good weekend! On Saturday we went to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden... I swear some parts of it were just as crowded as Lexington Avenue, which kinda turned me off at first. Other than that, it was so fragrant and beautiful! Then we went to Greenwich Village and hung out there before heading to Cuba for dinner.
Sunday of course was the GTG! It was a lot of fun to meet many of the ladies in person! After that I had to go to a friend's house for a meeting, and her mother was visiting and invited us all for home cooked lunch! Well I ended up being half an hour late because the Queens-bound F train was closed at the station near Essex and I ended up taking the longest detour ever! It was a miserable subway ride, but fun once I got to my friend's house
Weekend was good!
Friday didn't do to much got an oil change, and ran some errands.
Saturday took a nice nap, and then went out to do Karaoke for a friends birthday...did unspeakable things, drank to much, and had a blast
Sunday made it to brunch (shocking considering the shape I was in Saturday night). Had a wonderful time at brunch, it was nice meeting people I have seen on the boards for years but never met in person. Stopped at a friends house when I got home, then when I got home from that was asleep within an hour...the weekend caught up with me.

Saturday and Sunday were pretty much filled up by going over to my parents' and DH's parents' to hang out. We did manage to go out to the playground for a bit too - that's always fun! Putting away washed laundry did not happen like I was planning, so I need to get my behind in gear and get it done, sigh...
And I cannot wait for the sunshine!!

My weekend was good!
Friday night I went to happy hour with some friends, then came home and we ordered Vietnamese food for dinner and watched a movie.
Saturday, I did a 15-mile run, then came home and cleaned up and went back out for a walk along the river with DH to enjoy the nice weather. It was lovely but I was exhausted by the time we got home! Just cooked dinner and stayed in that night.
Sunday was the GTG of course - I also got caught off guard by the F train not stopping at Delancey. Ended up just walking home - Amy and I walked together, since she was headed the same direction, it was a nice walk! Again I was exhausted when I got home and ended up spending the afternoon just hanging on the couch, watching the Cavs (win!) and relaxing.

Well, on Saturday, my husband worked, so I went to my son's house to baby-sit the grandkids (gs-10yrs and gd-4yrs). Always a lot of fun, especially since I get to play video games with my grandson. Guess who always loses.lol.
Sunday, of course, was the GTG. I had a really nice time meeting everyone for the first time. The food was good and plenty of it. The run to the cupcake place across the street just topped it off. I ended up taking two cupcakes home with me to share with my husband as an afternoon snack. Then we started to watch dvd's of Rome, season two.

Fri: I went to my co-worker's party at a bar...I actually enjoyed myself. Then came home and relaxed.
Sat: No roof.
so I got other chores done, laundry, cleaning, bringing Sammi (cat) for his shots. DH cleaned the yard and our borrowed lawn mower died on us. We relaxed afterwards.
Sun: DH worked and I had a horrible commute to the GTG (didn't get to eat) LOL but it was nice seeing everyone, I still have 2 cupcakes in the fridge (we are not big snackers; cah-razy!) and then I cooked and ironed later that evening.
Mon: grocery shopping after work, which to be honest I enjoyed

I am so sorry that I had to miss the GTG! But I am glad that you ladies had a great time, despite all of the transit issues.
Saturday I spent the whole day preparing for the shower that I hosted on Sunday. Everything worked out well. The house looked beautiful and the food was great. I think my friend (the bride) was blown away. She was really happy and touched by all the work that we put into preparing for the day. Now on to the bachelorette party!

Friday: Is a blur, so apparently I didn't do anything worth talking about. lol
Saturday: I went to DH's cousin's confirmation party out in NJ.
Sunday: Had a lovely day with the Nestie girls at the GTG.
Yesterday: I came home from work exhausted and just crashed for the whole day.
Today I made up for my laziness...finally made it to the grocery store to get some much needed groceries...now I just through in a load of laundry and am gonna go vacuum the mess the cats just made. =/

Fun, busy weekend. Sat met up with an OOT friend. We ate, drank, walked around, shopped, then ended up at a friend's playing Wii. Sun: brunch, then met up with another friend with my H. We actually went out and randomly bumped into a person we all knew. I swear, this is one large small town. I am constantly bumping into people I know.
Yesterday, I was wiped out from everything and went to bed early, slept 11 hours.
I like sleeping for 11 hours!
