    They give me heart burn. I too miss the homestyle fries. I can't tell you the last time I was at Arby's. It has been a while, somewhere we never think about going.

    Everytime I go to Arby's I *always* (try to) order homestyle fries in a desperate hope that they will bring them back...lol.

    I had given up fries one year for lent, and then went about 6 years without eating a single french fry...then one day I picked up Arby's for DH. I ate the whole box of fries within 5 minutes, and told DH that they spilled on the way home and had to be thrown away. Surprise

    I don't think I've ever met something fried in oil that I didn't like.  Sweetbreads might be the one exception to that.

    They give me heart burn too. Even if they didn't, I'd prefer regular fries though. As long as they are crispy. I don't like mushy fries AT ALL.

    That is very European of you.  My H was in Germany for work a few years ago and had the hardest time explaining that he wanted ketchup for his fries.

    Yep my grandparents are from Holland (immigrated after WWII) and my whole family always ate mayo w/ their fries.  I loved it growing up, but now I like ketchup better.
