I just found out that my dear friend Eva has brain cancer and is in the hospital. Some of you may remember me mentioning her - she is a nurse at St. Peter's in the OB unit.
Her husband came back from Afghanistan, then a week later, she complained of headaches, then was diagnosed with brain tumors. She has had her frontal lobe removed and will be starting chemo today.
Our friends are all putting together a donation, some meals and all the support that we can.
Please keep my dear friend in your thoughts today. She is my age, 31, in perfect health otherwise and has two kids under 6 years old.

Dar- no, she had her first surgery a couple weeks ago and has been in Albany Med.
If you have ever picked up a pamphlet in St. Peter's while giving birth or visiting that unit, she is in the pamphlet.
I've seen it! We were bored in the waiting room.... I didn't think she would have been working but I thought the nurses were very nice at St. Peters.
