For the past couple of days I have been searching everywhere for my camera, and it's like the darn thing just evaporated. I'm still hoping it will show up since it had some pictures on it from Key West, but I know it's time to buy a new one. I had that camera for over four years! It was starting to crap out on me anyway, so maybe this is the kick in the pants I needed.
So, please recommend a good point-and-shoot! Sadly, I don't have enough moolah in my budget for a DSLR, but I'd still like the new one to have some nice features.
I know we have some great photogs here... what should I buy?

That's the camera I have. I really like it, it's super easy to use & takes great pictures. Mine is a little over a year old, so I think that link is the latest model. My husband even likes it & that's saying a lot because he used to have one of those giant, expensive cameras all the photographers use. lol.
Sorry about your camera!
That stinks, I hope you find it. I bet you will - right after you buy a new one! lol.
Our last few point and shoots have been Olympus and we love them. We bought this one last summer and it's great!
All of the non-pro pics on my FB page were taken with this camera.
Haha! I'm totally expecting this to happen.
i love this olympus one! i bought it for jamaica and now i don't use my nikon point and shot any more. i love that it is waterproof and can get dropped from 5 ft. this camera was perfect for vegas!
sorry you can't find yours though.
My brother got this camera for Christmas one year. My parents got it for him because he destroys everything. As far as I know he still has it & it still works. He takes it with him when he wakeboards, snowboards, and off-roads. So, water, freezing, being dropped & bounced around - doesn't seem to have effected it.
This is the new version of the one I have: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Canon+-+PowerShot+12.1-Megapixel+Digital+Camera+-+Silver/9766864.p?id=1218170031336&skuId=9766864
I love it, I got the 1100 last christmas (2008) and it got stolen when Andrew's sister was in Italy, so we got the 1200 and it's even better. It automatically adjusts modes (macro, portrait, etc). And the pictures are incredible for a P&S.
This is mine http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=144&modelid=19211 It goes for about $200. I love the zoom. The shutter speed is slow so it is not good if you want to photograph a sporting event.
