I'm assuming your  "25 in 10: 9/25" is book-related, I have the same goal, I'm now at 12/25, which is exciting because I only read 20 last year.

What books have you read this year?  Any that you would particularly recommend?

Re: **jcam**

  • Yep, it is book related :-) I only made it to 23 last year, but I am at 10 already this year so I think I'll make it! Last year I read the whole Outlander series, which takes a long time to read, so that held me back in a way haha. So far I have read:

An Echo In The Bone (the latest of the Outlander series)
Sloppy Firsts (this and the next four are the Jessica Darling series)
    Second Helpings
    Charmed Thirds
    Fourth Comings
    Perfect Fifths
    Confessions of a Shopaholic
    The Time Traveler's Wife
    Dear John
    Belly Laughs

And I feel like there is another that I am missing, but I can't think of it so I guess I can't count it :-( Oh well!

I forget if you have tried Outlander yet, but I looooove that series. The Jessica Darling series are really fast and fun reads. Dear John was alright, but super predictable. Belly Laughs was stupid, but that may just be me because I hear of people looooving it.

    What about you?

  • I've been reading a lot more non-fiction than I usually do, and books that are related to the graduate work that I'm doing.  I did start the Outlander series, I'm not over the moon about it, but I did think it was a good, fun read.  I've started DIA (150 pages in), and like it better than the first one so far.  There were a lot of cliff hangers right at the beginning, and I think that's kept me hooked.  I'll definitely read the original trilogy and see what I think from there.

I'm sure I will, I read the first one on vacation and it was a perfect beach/vacation read, so with summer coming up, they may move to the top of the list!
