I still have my baby at least....
My hubby had to take my baby, my 17 y.o. kitty, into the vet to see why she isn't eating and is throwing up all the time. Found out she has liver failure. We now have a lot of medications to take and special food for her to eat, hoping she can rebound to live a couple more years.
Sorry, just needed to vent. Not to ruin the good things you all are posting.

I'm so sorry about your kitty. My childhood cat got cancer when she was in her mid-teens and they had to remove the tumor but it great back much worse. She had kidney problems and then some other problems that got so bad we had to put her down. It's hard to watch your baby kitty get old
Your cat doesn't sound nearly as sick though, so I'm sure she'll live a few more years like you said.

Thanks for all the wishes and hugs.
Update,
It's been a couple of days and she still is not eating by herself. We are still force feeding food into her. She is still losing weight but think it plateu'd today. (finger's crossed). She definitely has jaundice and is really weak. My hubby is confident she'll come around, but I am starting to see her lose the battle, similar to my other cat I had to put down a couple years ago who had cancer. The good thing is she lived a happy and loving long life.
