Crawfish are on sale this weekend here, and DH, BIL and I may have our own little crawfish boil! Tell me the best way to prepare (and how, in general, crawfish are new to me!)

  • Ok my directions will blob together because of iphone. 1. Make sure you leave them in water so they dont dry up and die. 2. Purge them by spraying the garden hose directly on them for a few minutes. 3. Boil the water. Fill the water with crab boil, salt, and cayenne pepper. Some people use lemons and garlic too. 4. Boil the crawfish until they start floating. When they start floating turn off the heat source and let them soak between 5-10 minutes. 5. Dont forget to add potatoes, onions, corn on cob, smoked sausage, mushrooms to boil. These are added fillers and are delicious in the boil. 6. Recipe for crawfish dip is mayonaise, ketchup, hot sauce, worchestershire, horseradish all mixed together. Add what you like for personal preference. 7. Eat da tails and suck da heads! Make sure you dont eat the ones that were dead before the boil you can tell and enjoy!
