And the family vacation is going to be in...

Nashville, IN... Be jealous of our exciting and wild lives. Big Smile

I wanted to find a smaller town with a nice downtown that we can walk around, but also close enough to bigger cities for things to do. I found a condo for a resonable price with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. This works much better for us than a hotel room.

I'm thinking we will do about 4 days there and then stop off in Indy for two days or stay there five nights and take a day trip to Indy. I'm leaning to the two days in Indy so we can go to the zoo and children's musuem. But Brian isn't all the excited about unpacking all our stuff just for one night (which is understandable but if we pack right we don't have to haul everything to the hotel room)

I just excited that we can get away for a few days for Brian's sake. I think this will work much better than day trips around here.

Now I just have to figure out when we want to go.

  • that sounds like a great choice :) You can always go to the bigger places when the kids get older.

  • You will have a blast. :-)
  • I told Brian that we are taking a Disney in fall 2011 when the girls are 3 and 4. I want to go twice with them - once when they are young enough that seeing Mickey and having breakfast with princesses is the coolest thing EVER to them .(yes, I''m cool with them liking princess if they want to) And then again when they are old enough to remember the trip.  Memories for mom and then memories for them.

  • Hey, I'm going to Gatlinburg for my anniversary, so Nashville does sound wild and exciting Wink

  • Nashville is a nice little town. Lots of shops if you like that. You might be able to catch a show at the Little Opry!
  • I think it sounds like fun!  Any time spent with the family away doing something will be great!  It's not where you take the journey, it's who it's with that counts!

I will keep that in mind. We will have to tell Brian that we have met at playdates before though. Wink  Is there anything to do in Bloomington for a day trip?
