Re: Wordless Wednesday
I wish I could do this one but seeing pictures of it gives me awful panic attacks. I can't even see them on tv, magazines, or books. Much less in aquariums. My biggest fear is sharks. And it is a big one. I know this is supposed to be wordless but I will throw up, hyperventilate, and pass out just from a picture. That wouldn't be good at work.
Sounds extreme, I know but it's happened about a dozen times so I am not going to tempt it.
Little Fvckers like this in my house:
and heights

Fear of:
Heights...
Bugs...
and, Birds...
OMG, I had never even SEEN these before until we moved into our condo. They scare the CRAP out of me. I can't stand them. ::shudders:: So gross!!
Yes - they are nastier than spiders and they are hard to catch!
I think they must be a colder climate insect b/c I never saw themin chicago...just up here in MN.

(the dark)
(heights, so bad I have issues even getting on a simple ladder)
and like Karrey, this one I can't put a pic up of, spiders. I would like to not have a panic attack at my desk tyvm.
(claustrophobia)
(getting in bad car accident)
(I am probably way more scared of dying than I should be)
And finally, i don't think I would be able to find a pic for this one, but I have issues with being in a car when someone other than myself is driving. I think it goes along with my anxiety issue, as well as the whole dying thing and getting a car accident thing. But it could also be because I don't have control over the situation and what could happen. But I get asked all the time about holding the "Oh sh!t bar" all the time when I'm in someones car.
Wow, maybe I need to seek counseling.
Me too. You're not alone.
And this is why I hate the circus
Claustrophobia. I'm pretty good at managing it (on the subway, in elevators, on buses, etc) but if I'm actually in a space when where I can't move, I have a panic attack. I got stuck next to the bed (um, don't ask) once about a year ago and I couldn't breath until Jack pulled me out.
And spiders. I DO NOT DEAL WITH BUGS PERIOD.
Two at once!!! Heights AND caves (claustrophobic...tiny spaces)

and dying in a car crash...
Death
Small Spaces (Claustrophobic)
Being alone
The dark
Serial Killers/Rapists/Psycho people in general
Smalls spaces. I hate elevators with a passion. I avoid them like the plague.
I am going to ditto Karrey's post!! But change shark to s.p.i.d.e.r. I can't say it I have to spell it.
And I'm sorry but I can't even read other peoples post because I know a picture of one will be on there.
I am terrified of the house burning down. I rarely let DH use the fire pit in the backyard, and we have only had fires in the fireplace 2x (I don't know how clean the chimney is and don't want to start a fire). I have fire extinguishers in the kitchen and mounted on the wall out back next to the BBQ. I FREAK when people come over and smoke and don't dispose of cigaretts correctly (I put out ashtrays and tell them to throw butts in the chimeneas, not that there is ever actually a fire in either chimenea!). I made DH buy a fake Christmas tree, and my flat iron, curling iron, and iron all have auto shut offs. Not sure if any of you remember, but I asked one time if my humidifier would start a fire because I thought that I had let it on when I went to work. I am a FREAK (OK, so that was hardly wordless, I'm bored!).
I have this same fear. It was especially bad when I was a kid. I would lay awake and night and think of escape routes just in case the house caught fire. I also won't touch a sparkler and in chemistry class couldn't light a match to start the bunsen burner.
Now I can at least light a match as long as it is wood but still won't hold a sparkler or light a paper match.
