Moving Boxes?

Does anyone know of a place I can get boxes for moving, for free? I already have some from a health food store, but I got all they had. TIA :)

Re: Moving Boxes?

  • Check Craigslist and freecyle

I always hit up the grocery stores and get banana and apple boxes. If you ask the produce manager nicely, he may set aside the boxes for you the next day as long as you can get back in a timely manner to pick them up.

Try Save A Lot on Alpine. Hubby is a manager and they have boxes :)

  • Grocery stores and liquor stores. Call and ask them if they have any boxes. Most will tell you what days they get stock in.

One time I called a liquor store and they said to come on down. They had a room with nothing but hundreds of boxes.

I always get my boxes from liquor stores too.  When I move into my dorm for college my roommate thought my family was a bunch of lushes since all the boxes had "Smirnoff" or "Guiness" on them.  ahah.

  • What size do you need? I may have some extra's left over from our move. Also, maybe check Sams or Costco?
