Two years in Boston and I still...

... say pop not soda.  Some co-workers were making fun of me for it yesterday.  Oh well, just my midwestern roots showing!

  • hahaha, this is great! My friend grew up in Ohio and lives here now and she says pop and tennis shoes and we always make fun of her for it!

  • But that is because pop is the right word. It is the noun in soda pop. What kind of pop? Soda pop. So calling it soda is just wrong.

Well there's a Nestie name that hasn't been around in a while.

And I think you mean soda is the adjective...but either way, you're just wrong Wink

  • DH has lived here 5 years now and I've got him saying sneakers instead of tennis shoes about 50% of the time.  I always used to tell him that I've never seen him play tennis so I didn't understand why he called them tennis shoes!
