Mom on Mom cyberbullying

Interesting article. I am glad all the girls here on the HI board are very nice and supportive. I see a lot of CB on other boards especially The Bump!

Re: Mom on Mom cyberbullying

  • Very interesting article.....thanks for posting!  I agree, our little community is incredibly supportive.  Some days I don't what I'd do without reading other people's funny or happy stories, or without a place for me to vent my frustrations or fears.  But I never stray too far!  I'd never have the guts to post on most other boards.  It's not worth it for the grief that you get sometimes.

  • Ditto on this board--it's the best =)

Yeah, there's something about being online that's less personal or something...and it makes some ppl behind his/her keyboard not realize (or not care) that they're writing to another real-life person. Because if they were really that mean in person, they probably have no friends and would have gotten nowhere in life with that kind of attitude and behavior. It happens to kids and adults alike and I really don't think they're really that mean in person but on the internet, no one knows it's them and they get to be a different person without suffering any consequences for it.

  • I love this board :) I went over to 0-3 months on the bump when i first had A and just wasn't feeling it...too much drama!
  • This is one of the reasons I decided to introduce myself to this board.  I lurked for awhile and I like how everyone was supportive and genuinely nice to each other.  I haved tried posting on some of the national boards, but I was really put off by the way the "regulars" treated the "newbies."  Some of them claimed they were just "telling it like it is," but I think on more than one occasion they crossed that line and actually started to cyber-bully some of the girls.  Part of me wishes I had the guts to call them on it, but another part thinks staying quiet was the way to go, because I didn't want to add fuel to the fire.
