Hump Day Update!

Here's an update on everything going on with me..and why I may drive my car off a bridge...

1. House - we are supposed to close May 13th (day before we leave for OBX).  The mortgage company is STILL working on our commitment and of course needs more documents more stuff... So cross fingers and pray that it all works out.  With my current work situation I'm not really able to do much by phone if anything during the day, so thats more stressful than anything.

2. Wedding - 3 weeks from tomorrow!!!  And yeah, we leave 2 weeks from Friday.  Um... hmm...still have  ALOT to do.

3. Foster dogs- 1 got adopted and went to his furever home last night (YAY!) which leaves us with 1 more foster and the rescue is giving me a hard time about where she can/will go while we are away.

4.... Still no phone call about the job offer.  Today would have been the day for me to give 2 weeks since my last day of work is going to be May 12th.  So who knows what will happen now.

So needless to say, I've got a lot of my plate..OH and we still need to find a renter for my house...UGH, and if we don't ASAP, we'll need to get a little creative with the mortgage company.

So...thanks for letting me vent.  I'll make ya'll some really fabulous strawberry shortcake :).

Re: Hump Day Update!

  • Oh, yuck!  Buying a house is such a pain in the a$$.

Have you tried following-up with them?  Are you going to put in your notice anyway?

ETA:  Hugs!!!  That's an awful lot for you to deal with!

  • I sent a follow up email to the HR person last week, I haven't heard anything which atleast she didn't say, sorry position filled.  The partner that I interviewed with told me if I hadn't heard anything in 2 weeks to check in... this Friday would be 2 weeks, so I'm not sure if I should check in a little early or just wait until Friday.

At this point, I don't think giving notice before I leave would be a good idea.  I think I'd rather do it right when I get back (if I get the job).  Trying to be confident here!

  • Goodness!  I can see why driving off that bridge is tempting, but don't do it! Smile

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get the job and the house!

    Anniversary

I would wait until Friday or Monday.

I wasn't sure if you were planning on going back even if you didn't get the job.  ::New Job Vibes::
