My cousin is Southern Baptist and is being baptized this weekend. I just found out about it this morning. Since we can't go I was going to send a card. Should I send a gift, and if so what, I would normally send a savings bond, but she's 10 and it won't mature before she's out of college. I'm not opposed to sending money either, but we don't have a huge history of this in my family and I don't know the etiquette.

Re: Baptism Present
I like the idea of a youth/teen Bible. I had one that I wore the cover off when I was a teenager, it was great because it had all kinds of stuff in it that related to the real world. I still have it around here somewhere, if I can find it I can send you the name of it.
Maybe a Chicken Soup for the Soul book? They have ones that aren't religious but also ones that are.
