Yep! What Leigha said. There has been speculation around this for a while. Apparently the Chinese government covers it up for the Chinese Olympic athletes, too, by issuing them passports and documents that misstate their age. It amazes me that an entire government will go to these kind of measures to cover up the true age of athletes to cheat in the Olympics!
One of the big differences, though, is that she admitted that China had misrepresented her age after the Olympics. I imagine if the members of the Chinese gold medal team from 2006 don't say anything, there's not much the IOC can do.
