Fun Cocktails?

Do any of you know any fun and yummy cocktails that a person can make at home? Something relatively easy? My wedding shower is this weekend and I insisted that my sisters and mom give me something to do so they put me in charge of a cocktail. Its a evening Shower (I know I know but its going right into the Bachelorette).

TIA

Re: Fun Cocktails?

  • I'm not a big cocktail drinker....  but I do enjoy some Hypnotiq with club soda (looks cool when you pour it to because the two don't immediately mix).

In my family for this sort of thing we would just make punch (the same punch my grandmother has made for every occasion) and have some vodka/rum near by for those who wish to allow them to spike it.

  • The liquor board in ONtario has a great website to go along with their magazine:

    Or try Bon Apetit's website:

My favourite drinks right now are different styles of sangria, mojitos or capirhinas.

  • my favourite is what we've nicknamed "giggle juice." tastes sooo good. Almost too good but it's perfect for a bachelorette.

since there will be a crowd I'd put it in a punch bowl:

     1 bottle ginger ale

    1 1L container orange juice

    1 cranberry juice

    bottle of vodka.

    Ice cubes

fruit to put in the bowl (blackberries or blueberries or raspberries) work. Makes it fun in the glass as well to have the fruit.

Mix it all together (you can decide how much of each since I'm not sure how large the bowl is but I usually go 1/2 a container of each to start. Add the rest later as needed since you'll need to top up the bowl).

    enjoy!

  • Thanks Ladies!
