AW: Back from cruise

Hi ladies! I am back from a fab vacation to the Western Carribean on Royal Carribean's Liberty of the Seas. It was the most relaxing vacation I have ever taken and I 100% recommend it to anyone that is considering one. I am going to post a review on my blog in the coming days, but wanted to brag a little about being in the sunshine since I had to come back to SNOW this week!

I hope I didn't miss too much while I was away. I'm going to try to catch up this week!

Re: AW: Back from cruise

  • Well it will probably take you about 5 minutes to catch up on what you missed here -- its been pretty quiet.

Glad you had fun -- DH really wants to go on another cruise and if we do, we'll go on Royal Caribbean as well.  We did Carnival last time and I wasn't a big fan.  It is a great way to vacation though - everything is taken care of before you ever leave.

  • Hawki-

Everyone we talked to that had been on a Carnival said the RC was a lot better (I have no basis for comparison as this was my first). I really liked going on one of the bigger ships because there was so much to do!!!

  • Glad you had such a great time. I can't wait to read about it in your blog. I am trying to talk J into a cruise for next year.

I have been on both (Carnival first, then RC). I preferred RC by a long shot. It was so much classier. Carnival's decor was so gaudy and overwhelming.  I know that isn't the point of a cruise, but it was so jumbled together.

This was what I thought too... it was just cheesy.  It was a great way to vacation but our ship bill was ridiculous.  We got super cheap tickets for the cruise (I think $400 a person for a week) and had free vouchers for the plane since we had volunteered to get off another flight that year.  Our ship bill cost us as much as the whole vacation.

  • I've never been on a cruise before, but it sounds like fun!! Glad you were able to relax. Post some pics!

  • How fun! I have been on 2 cruises (both Norwegian Cruise Line) and had lots of fun. They were in college with big groups of girlfriends, and I thought it was a perfect and cheap way to travel for that instance.

Not the way DH & I would go if we were by ourselves, but they are still such fun getaways! Glad you had fun!

  • Thanks ladies! I did post some photos on facebook though I don't know if I'm friends with all of you. Since I don't really think I have any stalker, you can find me via my email keb270@gmail.com or through the June 09 knottie group
