Re: Weekend plans
DERBY!!!!! I'm missing Oaks for the first time since I've lived here - which sucks since its going to be 82 and sunny today and tomorrow is supposed to be raining. I'm hoping that its better than the predictions because I really dont want to ruin my hat. We have tickets inside but none of our friends do so not sure where we will be all day.
Tonight we are heading to a concert downtown as part of the festival and Sunday will be recovery I'm guessing.

I survived the RoLex wedding and all I got was this lousy husband.
One&Only Palmilla - Los Cabos, Mexico
We don't have many plans at all. At some point before tomorrow afternoon I need to do some homework
Today: get out of work early, go home and watch Tivo, hang out with DH
Tomorrow: sleep in, study, go to class, then no plans
Sunday: church & lunch with family
Tonight - dinner with my uncle
Tomorrow - shopping/lunch with my cousin
Sunday - clean and possibly get together with a friend

I may have a mini girl's night at my house tonight. I think K is going out drinking & staying over with his buddy (our BM), so I'm opting to stay home with the pooch, and either have a few ladies over for some wine & a chick flick, or maybe just a scrapbooking session all by my lonesome...
Tomorrow I'm planning to visit my dad, maybe bring the puppy so they can meet. Then possibly some yard work and furniture shopping...
Sunday laundry & grocery shopping. fun stuff.
Tomorrow is "National Scrapbook Day," so I'd really like to do something with that if I could :P A bunch of the local stores are having sales, classes, make-and-takes, all sorts of fun stuff.
However, I also have a portfolio, two 20-page papers, and a thesis chapter to finish (for my own classes) plus 20 6-page papers and 60 multiple choice exams to grade (for the classes I teach). So that will all probably end up taking precedent. *sigh*
I can feel myself starting to get sick right now. I'm going to make some tea and hope it gets better, but if it doesn't that will be my weekend plan.
Either way, there's a college memorial service for all of the people who passed away during the year and they are including my grandma, so C and I will probably drive out for that on Sunday.

Tonight - scrabble with DH, relaxing
Tomorrow - going to some bike stores to pick out my birthday present, going to Babies R Us to buy a breast pump, clean out Master BR closet, finish up the nursery, install car seat
Sunday - finish up the nursery if not done on Saturday, clean out/organize basement
Ryan is heading to Ohio for his grandfather's birthday, and I decided to stay here since it was a last minute decision (his parents didn't inform us until about 2 weeks prior), so my ticket would have cost us another $240 and I am going on vacation for a week in 8 days, so I didn't want to take extra time off work. That, combined with the fact that I just had sinus surgery and flying probably isn't ideal just yet.
So my plans are to try and get my closet organized, the house clean, etc...all that fun stuff I have a tendency to neglect when he is here and we opt for watching movies or going out instead.
I'm also running a gajillion errands in preparation for my big trip to The Keys soon!
