DH's parents have never flown, and are terrified of doing so. For the past four years we've been trying to convince them to take a short flight (an hour or less), and then decide for themselves whether they'd like to do it on a regular basis. We were so close to convincing them to go to Vegas with us for spring break, but alas, after they saw the footage of that plane in Germany getting caught in the crosswinds, they've changed their minds. <shakes head in exasperation>
Re: We were so close...
I LOVE your new sig picture - it's cute.
That sucks about the in-laws. Although you're a braver women than me - I can't imagine going to Vegas with my ILs.
LOL I was thinking the same thing as Flame. :P
GL getting them to get on a plane...one of DH's friends is terrified of planes and has never flown. His GF was forced to drive all the way to Florida for vaca b/c he wouldn't fly. I thought she would kill him.

IMO, it would be so much easier if FIL and MIL would just take a short plane ride with us, because then we wouldn't have to drive them to NY every summer to visit the rest of the family. For example, this year DH and I are planning on going to Ohio for my family reunion, but if MIL and FIL can't get someone to drive them to NY, they will drive with us to Ohio and then we'll take them up to NY. They're planning on staying for a month, and since DH and I are only staying for a week, DH's brother (who lives in NY), will drive them back down and then fly back up. It's a hassle being their chauffeurs, and I think if they just tried to fly they would realize how convenient it is.

OH MAN!! Are you DRIVING back to Ohio? I just did that in Dec. and what an awful drive that is. GOOD LUCK!!
I am so sorry.
