I bought a box of quinoa and now need a good recipe. Anyone have one they like?
Re: Need Recipes for Quinoa
I've only cooked w it a few times and I usually put some salsa in it or make it, toss other veggies in -like I'll stir fry some-diced tomatoes, onions, peppers, spinach-and mix it w the quinoa.
There's a few food blogs on H&F where I'm sure they've used quinoa... One I saw was a breakfast version like a maple oatmeal. WIll have to see what I find...
...and there's one there today about it!

Thanks!
A cooking suggestion for savory meals...use chicken or vegetable broth instead of water. It gives the quinoa much more flavor.
I don't have any recipes off the top of my head, but for savory I like to make the quinoa and top with vegetables and shrimp scampi. It's a favorite of ours.
For sweet, you can use quinoa with any oatmeal fixings you like (if you're an oatmeal person)....brown sugar, honey, toasted nuts, berries, dried fruit, etc. I purchased a delicious sweet quinoa salad a few months ago that had pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, and a tiny bit of honey in it.
