WWYD? Errant text msg

I think that's the right word...

I just got a text from my cousin's wife, that was clearly meant to be sent to him. Not dirty or anything, but about their finances and withdrawals.

Would you just ignore it, or would you reply saying something like "I think you meant this for XYZ"?

Re: WWYD? Errant text msg

  • I sent one to my boss's wife, which was meant for my ex.  I dropped 4 f-bombs in the text.

I realized as soon as i sent it, and called, left a voicemail appologizing.

She wrote back -- I don't ever want to piss you off.

In this case, where it's finances, i'd ignore it.  I'm sure at some point she'll realize the mistake and be embarassed enough.

  • Ignore it. It would just embarrass them.

I ignored. She wrote back 5min later saying "Sorry! That was for XYZ. Wondered why he wasn't responding."

    :) We laughed about it.
