Hi!

Hi everyone...just wanted to introduce myself.  My DH and I just got married on May 19 and got back from our HM in Hawaii a couple of days ago.  I'm a pretty open book, so if there's anything else you want to know, just ask!

Val

Congrats and welcome to the board. We're slow, but very friendly.

Where in HA did you honeymoon?
  • We spent a week on Kauai...honestly, I'm surprised we came home!  DH keeps talking about moving out there, so I need to show him some real estate guides to prove EXACTLY why we can't move there!
  • Sounds like a great honeymoon  :)  It is fun to dream about living in paradise.

My BIL grew up on Kauai (on Hanalae bay). He sold his childhood home because the insurance costs alone were insane. To afford the house he had to live somewhere that wasn't Hawaii, make an amazing salary and rent out the house 40-50 weeks a year.

Where di you stay on Kauai? Princeville, Hanalea, etc.? DH wants us to go to Hawaii and hike the Na Pali Coast or go to the Mayan ruins in Central America next year. I would love to pick your brain about what you recommend on Kauai.
  • I absolutely love Kauai!  We stayed near Lihue at the Hilton.  We would have liked to hike the Na Pali coast, but just didn't have enough time.  The things we did include a helicopter tour (a must-do), a luau and deep sea fishing, which was DH's wedding gift.  All of it was amazing!

I have something like 350 pics and 2 hr of video...I'll go through it all this weekend (hopefully) and post some pics.
