BR: tylenol/motrin etc voluntary recall
Re: BR: tylenol/motrin etc voluntary recall
thanks for the heads up.
When things like this get recalled it's only the brands on the list right? Because I bought the Target generic infant pain reliever. I haven't used it but since it's not on the list it should be fine?
I was *just* going to purchase the dye-free Cherry Infant Tylenol the other day but on the box, it didn't have dosage instructions for babies under 2 and it expired in 2011, so I decided not to get it. Good thing! since it's recalled now. Thanks for posting this!
And yeah, when things get recalled, it's only the brands and model/serial #s that are listed. And different brands tend to appear in different recall reports because they tend to be recalled for different reasons/factors, unless the reason for the recall stems from the same source.
I am wondering this too...we have the Walgreen's version of Tylenol... Walgreen's Infants' Pain Reliever Acetaminophen Suspension. We've only used it once, about a month ago. A Google search didn't yield any info.

It's only the brands and serial numbers that they post. If it's a Tylenol brand that's recalled then all other acetaminophen products (target, walgreens, etc) are fine to use. At our hospital, we mostly use generics because there are less issues with recalls and such...
thanks, I thought so but just wanted to be sure. That is exactly one of the reasons the really good Dr. mom of the kids I use to nanny for told me about generics so I usually buy the store brand of everything unless it's vitamins or something and I'm trying to buy the non-sythetic or what not..
thanks for this info - I went out and bought generic tylenol last night - I was glad to see the store had pulled all the others from the shelf.
