He has to mow our entire front and back lawn...with the push mower. Twice...b/c the grass is too tall to do it all in one pass. This will take him at least 4-5 hours to do.
We've got about 0.4 acres of lawn...with slopes. Usually I push mow the front and do the detail work on the slopes in the back while DH uses the riding mower to do the flat part of the back. Our riding mower is DED dead. Its about 25 years old and finally decided that it was done.
I tried to mow some in the front...but it was just too much with the pushing. Maybe if it was a self-propelled kind I could do it.
I weeded our collapsing terrace instead - while sitting on my azz on an old saucer sled and scooting down the slope.
Its a sad day at the Clark house.

Re: Poor DH
Yuck, no fun!
Our front yard isn't big, but it has a really steep slope. DH puts on his baseball cleats because he slid down it with the mower last summer.
I hope he finishes quickly!
Awesome idea!

Sometimes, I'm glad we don't have a big yard... but we-I mean DH-do use a mower I call the Amish lawn mower. no power...
Poor DH-hope it wasn't hot there like it was here!
