Jesus Christ, I can't take the drama and the BS they put me through.
I had my swearing in ceremony for my CPA this morning...I didn't want to make it a big deal and I was asked to try and keep my RSVP "reasonable" b/c there would be limited seating. Initially I just wanted Mike to go, but my parents insisted on coming too. Ok, no big deal. But then my running friends found out...one woman is really, really close to me (she's a little older than my mom but we're really close)...she's stubborn and "threatened" (jokingly) to break into the building to be there. Because we're so close and she really wanted to come, I told her she could...but no one else. I thought everyone else had forgotten (and they had) until one girl asked my friend (we'll call her F) if she was going to be at the run this morning. F said no b/c she was going to my thing...apparently the other girl got her feelings hurt b/c she wasn't invited.
I started feeling bad after my thing was over so I called her and left her an apology on her voicemail...she texts me later saying "I'm busy. Are you going to T's thing tonight?" (T is another friend, graduated from nursing school today - at the same time as my thing and as far as I knew everyone was going to her ceremony anyway). I write back "No, hanging out w/the family tonight." She responds "Oh." I say "Wanted to go, but we're doing a family celebration for my thing." She says "Yup. Later."
Seriously?! This is how you act b/c you weren't invited to a long, boring thing? And THIS is supposed to make me WANT you to be there?!
