today's confession
so, I'm home today, sick as a dog. I can barely talk and the tickle in my throat is a cruel b*tch.
I made myself a smoothie with organic berries, non-fat tangy fro-yo and some chopped up wooden spoon for extra fiber. Whoops.
I'm eating it anyway.

I am doing research for my job... (looking up unique K&B stuff)... as I procrastinate doing other things like making phone calls... (am on lunch right now).
Also, DH and I have been emailing really quirky things back and forth. Right now, he says he's wearing a hot pink speedo on our cruise. um, yeah. I don't think so. Already, he's got to let my sis shave his head with AC/DC on the side of it, so the speedos might be quite amusing...
AND... my SD asked when Step-mom's Day is (Sun after Mom's Day-supposedly)... so I told her. ( I got nuttin' last year for it-not that I really HAVE to have anything, but it would be nice...)
She also (un-prompted by moi)... told DH we should get a Germ Shep! And I never told her we saw one either...
And our wild pet bird has a full name... Chirp Nester (our last name)-we were calling it Chirp all wkend long! (fun times, fun times)
I have a lot real work to do today . . . but I might slack off and write a cover letter instead.

My confession for the day - I'm jealous of my SAHM twin sister and my DH, who is currently (f)unemployed and is hanging out with her and the kids today while I work my tired a$$ off.
Also, for a fun confession, I confess that I get to see Lore tonight for dinner!!! Be jealous, Novembies!

I just started a really stupid fight with my husband over e-mail about online checking. All my fault and now I feel bad because he feels bad. Arrrrg.

Aria, LOL. DH did that the other day. What's worse is he almost did a second time till I look the spoon away from him...
I have a chocolate stain on my white shirt. We had a recognition today and it was a cake with chocolate icing. I helped serve it and apparently got a little on me. I know if I wipe it, it'll spread, so I'm sporting it.
Also, it's pouring and I didn't want to miss my workout. So I just "ran" (we can't run so I have to briskly walk really) the steps of our manufacturing building in steel toes, a hard hat, and safety glasses.
OMG! My aunt used to raise mastiffs! I love them! Aw! She had 6-8 at one time... I remember Guingis (sp) Khan, Diana (Di-named for Princess Di), ok, I only remember two of them, but she had to have had stock in paper towels! They were like big babies!

I forgot that I had to turn in an assignment at noon (I thought it was due at 1) so at 11:40 I frantically called my prof and hyperventilated over the phone line about the situation. She very generously allowed me to turn it in 30 min late. Bless her.
I have my spanish final in about 10 min, my homework isn't complete and I don't feel adequately prepared to take the test. Pray that I don't start sobbing mid-exam.
Code--I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you . . . mastiffs are AWESOME!

yesterday I had Chunky Monkey ice cream for lunch.....and Arbys for dinner. Yup sooo not gonna be in bikini shape for Maui.

Hmm...I didn't do a darned frickin thing all weekend (well except cook awesome chicken taco/burritos last night). I vegged all out...course that was b/c of my super awesome tummy issues that won't.go.away. But I admit it was super nice to just chill out and veg.
I am so happy you didnt take your FB friends advice and give him the heave ho!! Those comments made me sad
I don't have any really big ones other than I am supposed to be lying down, and I am sitting at my computer, oh and I am sitting here because I am supposed to be getting a sh!t ton of work done in case they induce on Thursday, and instead I am on the nest and gazing longingly at the pool. It is supposed to be 94 today. I think that floating in the pool is totally going to take precedence over work.
