As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

It just all came SCREAMING back to me...
...Why I was so thrilled to be on maternity leave this time last year. My school is REEE-diculously hot. The heat enters the building and never leaves. We have a 20+ year old AC window unit in the teacher office, so at least I can cool off at lunch.
Did I mention stinky teens who REALLY need to wear deo. and don't? And have phys ed and don't re-apply? Or who don't shower for days, if not weeks at a time?
Ugh.Ugh.Ugh. Okay- whine over.

Thanks Bethie! Yeah we're here 'til June 25th. It's gonna be a LONG ride. I can see lots of class periods spent reading our Spanish and Russian texts outside though! At least if it is brutally hot and humid, we can feel a slight breeze. Maybe.

I don't understand why the teens aren't showering. I remember a few from HS that were apparently anti-shower and deo. But I never understood that...
Ouch, the heat intensifies any lingering smells as well, that is just one funky trace of smells, too.
Ewww, I come across those people in the gym. Horrible B.O. is just nasty!
Is it horrible that I lead the charge with this? I actually make a point of reminding students that no one wants to smell them. Usually it works for a few days.
Yeah they are at the age where some of them are very aware of the social stuff and some just really love PE and couldn't care less how awful they stink.
