I freaking LOVE fresh strawberries...
If any of you live near any farms, it's Strawberry picking season!!
For you Triad ladies, if you want to miss some of the crowds that Rudd's Farm has (Off 29 at the Hicone Rd exit), I'd recommend Bowman's Farm, off 150 in Browns Summit on Spearman. They are a significantly smaller farm--but their product is just as good and plentiful. If you go on a weekend and see a couple on their bikes wearing colorful spandex, say hey--it could be DH and I. We like to stop there on our May rides.
Re: I freaking LOVE fresh strawberries...
I know, right?!
They had a deal at this little stand by the Lowe's Food off of Lawyers & Matthews-Mint Hill Pkwy... I got two HUGE containers of fresh strawberries for $5 and they are sooooooo good. I've been eating them for breakfast and lunch.
Buckin, I don't think ANYONE here would accuse you of EVER being lazy. Your garden puts mine to shame....and if your garden takes as much time as my garden does....yeah....you are not lazy!!
LOL. Okay..lazy when it comes to picking produce not in my own garden..how about that?? (btw...I definately bit off more than I could chew with my garden this year...It's awful...I'm never doing one this big again.)
Ohhh we bought some last weekend at a local farm (there are 2 within 5 miles of me) and I quickly made a strawberry pudding from some of them. HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!!
