I really wanted to go, but my friend is getting married Saturday and I'm in the wedding (In Raleigh)
Maybe I'll catch her at some other point
I am! i love her! what time is everyone going? How early do you think we need to arrive. I am done work at 3 but can camp if need be
I went tonight in DC. I'd suggest calling the bookstore and see how they're going to handle the signing. It's been my experience that it's up to the author/publisher, so even though I went to a different store (Borders) it might be the same. They started giving out tickets here when the store opened at 9 AM. I stopped by on my way in to work and got mine, so I was in the first group. By the time I got back for the actual signing, they were giving out the 6th & 7th groups. I heard there were 50 people in a group.
She did not speak for long, maybe 5-10 minutes. She was very nice, and was happy to take pictures with everyone. I got really nervous when it was my turn to talk to her - I don't know why. It was kind of ridiculous.
FYI
anyone planning on going make sure you stop by and get a ticket. I just called and they have been giving them away for the last week. I am heading over this afternoon to pick one up.
