I'm losing my office

We've hired another manager and there's nowhere to put him, so I'm getting a window cube.  Le sigh.

Re: I'm losing my office

  • At least you have a window.  I have an office in the middle of a concrete building.  I have walked outside to torental down pours and feet of snow without knowing anything was going on.

  • Um.....why isn't the new guy getting the window cubicle??

    That sucks.

  • That sucks but hope the window helps a little.
  • I mean, unless having a window is better?? But from your *sigh* it didn't sound that way.
  • On the upside, maybe you can leave some of your cooties behind as a parting gift? Devil

    Hmmmm.  Maybe I will!

Patty - he gets the office because manager outranks senior analyst.  Stick out tongueSupposedly he will need the space to have private meetings.  They really didn't want to take my office away.  They were afraid it would "demotivate me."  I guess it's the thought that counts.

  • If you come to Iowa I will share my office. It's an old closet bc my office was remodeled into a private resident room.

  • That stinks! Now that I'm at my new hotel, I have my own office instead of having to share, but my new office doesn't have windows :(

Rachel, I used to work as an Activities Director for a convalescent care facility . . . and my office was a closet, too!  They were even so kind as to continue storing extra supplies in the back.  I definitely don't miss those days!

  • Boo to this!  The window is a good silver lining though.

  • In my last office in LA I had a window, but it only looked out to the reception area.  I just kept the blinds closed all the time to avoid feeling like a goldfish.  I say yay on the window even though losing the office sucks.
  • gah that blows! For sure leave cootie behind....and a couple lady products maybe
