Raleigh/Durham apartment question

We have a niece that may move to Raleigh Durham area to do some travel nursing. What is rent for an average apartment? TIA!

Re: Raleigh/Durham apartment question

  • Our friend had a nice 1 bedroom in Raleigh for around $600, but I know that is somewhat on the lower end.  Another friend has a 2 bedroom apartment that is between $1000 and $1100.  I know that is a pretty wide range, but I think it depends on the area and how nice of a place you are looking for.
  • We have an 880sqf 1 bedroom near Lake Johnson for $680. Like PP said, it really depends on where in RDU you're looking.

  • I had a super nice 2 bed apartment at Wakefield Glen, in North Raleigh and it was $620 4 years ago, $800 2 years ago when we moved out, but I see all sorts of signs out front of it now advertising deals! I think $800 is about the norm.

  • We pay $616 for a 2 bedroom, but it isn't a great neighborhood.  Friends of ours pay $720 for a pretty small apartment in Brier Creek.

  • About five years ago, DH and I paid $745 for a two bedroom, two bath with a garage in RTP/Morrisville (off Davis Drive).
