When purchasing/recieving the following things, what do you do? Do you just use immediately or wash it?
-clothing
-bedding/sheets
-towels/bath rugs
-dishes/silverware/knives

-clothing - yes. I used to not wash some things (shirts, pants) first - but now I do all the time.
-bedding/sheets - yes
-towels/bath rugs - yes, otherwise I feel like they are linty
-dishes/silverware/knives - YES. you never know what that stuff has come into contact with in the warehouses/trucks prior to landing in your kitchen. Actually that's my philosophy for all of the above, maybe except for the sheets since those are usually packaged right away and somewhat protected.
