this is what MH said late last night...
last night miss A had some gas and wouldn't go to sleep until she was able to pass it and was able to poop... she went to sleep about 10pm but woke up unexpectedly at midnight b/c of it... so I was up w/her from about midnight until 1:30am and after she pooped of course I had to change her diaper...while I was changing her she started crying b/c of course she was over tired and not used to getting up at midnight... she woke MH up and at first he asked me, from the bedroom, "did you try burping her yet?" to which I replied, "yes, she's crying b/c I'm changing her, not b/c she doesn't want to sleep." he said, "oh. ok." and fell right back asleep. well, it was a pretty poopy diaper so it took me longer than usual to change her so she started crying again...she woke MH up again, this time he says to her, "Annalise!! go to sleep or I'm giving you a tranquilizer!!" LOL now I wasn't laughing last night b/c I was kind of upset that he'd say something like that...but then I asked him today if he remembers last night and he has no recollection of this happening... he does this all the time where if he gets woken up in the middle of the night he will say and do things and have no memory of them the next day. it's hilarious!
Re: this is what MH said late last night...
This cracks me up. Ryan is always saying "bella chill or I'll give you some baby valium" It cracks me up every time because he's the type of guy who wants to fix things IMMEDIATELY and then have them go away. Ex. the mc situation. He could only take (and still can only take) so much of me crying because there's simply no way to make it go away which makes him feel like he's failing... even though he's not.
Ryan is the most loving father so it always makes me laugh when he says that stuff. he too is guilty of saying things or doing things (such as rolling over when he hears her cry on the monitor) and then not remembering them the next day... it's like he's a zombie or something, that guy needs sleep!
too funny! write that in her baby book! she'll get a good laugh when she's older lol.
haha. ditto this! do you guys also use the terms "FLK" (funny looking kid) and "FOS" (full of stool)? they use those at DH's hospital...

FLK, yes! Haven't heard FOS. We get lots of FLKs...seriously, not all babies are cute and we aren't afraid to say so! Hahaha.
Haha..DH told me to stop pointing out not so cute kids. He's afraid we might jinx our bebe!! LOL.
OMG! My husband has full out conversations that kinda make sense in the middle of the night. He also never remembers them. They're ridiculously funny too.
I'm so glad to know he's not the only one!

Confession: I said something worse
Yesterday, my daughter had a friend visit. They decided they wanted popcorn. My daughter was sitting on the counter to get to the top cabinet (even though she could have stood on the stool and reached it). She says, "Oops, I farted."
Ah, on the kitchen counter!!!
So-o-o, we had a talk about not farting.
Last night, she bent over right in front of me. I told her I couldn't see the TV b/c her behind was in my face.
She laughed and said, "What if I farted?"
I said, "I would sew your butt shut"
(oops... I know this will come back to haunt me... she'll probably say it at school)
Newlyweds since 2007
Ha! MH totally uses FLK all the time at work!
By the way, I do that too.....I am technically awake and have a conversation (as opposed to sleeptalking/walking), but I often have no recollection in the morning. MH sometimes works until midnight and when he gets home, he'll wake me up and we'll talk for 10 minutes. There have been many mornings where I said "How come you didn't wake me up last night?" And he'll say "Uhhhh...I did, and we talked for 15 minutes." Oops!
LOL! We have a rule in our house...if you talk to me while I am in bed it doesn't count. Even if my eyes are open and I am responding to you. I have been known to have full convos in bed and not recall a single second of it.
Libby had gas last night too and it kept her up past her regular bed time...poor baby! 1 mL of ColicCalm and her tummy finally softened (lots of burps and farts later...LOL!). She slept really hard after that. Love me some Colic Calm! It can be messy (although I always get it out of clothing, burp cloths, etc. with some OxyClean and/or Grandma's Soap) but it works like a dream and is all natural (unlike Mylicon drops) and FDA approved. I think teething has made her extra gassy...she must be swallowing gallons of drool everyday!

Why can I totally picture you saying this to your DD?!
I mean you can't really tell her NOT to fart, good thing she doesn't live by me, I'd tell her she'd explode from not farting so to tell her momma better out then in
just be sure she says excuse me! Ryan SWEARS I never pooped or farted until we got married... really so I went 2 yrs without pooping or farting? Fat chance!
