What color shoes would you wear?

I just bought this dress from Rue La La and I'm not sure which color shoes will look good with it.  I could do black like in the picture, but I'm not sure that it really looks that good.  Maybe I'm just being too picky.

  • nude/natural or black.  but i hate the chunky big-ness of those shoes with the dress.  if you do decide to go black wear something much simpler!  i also hate her red toenails with this dress!

and i am jealous that you can put on a fitted sexy dress!

  • It must be the chunkyness of those shoes.  They are pretty ugly.

Those panels in the front disguise alot :)  It would look hot with a bump though, so maybe I can still sport it when I'm preggers ;-)  And no I'm not preggers.

  • I personally really don't like the black, but I'm a weirdo...when it comes to dresses, if it doesn't have black or gray in the dress, I feel like black doesn't go.

I like the idea of nude or natural, or gold (depending on how dressy the event is). Or even bring out the blue (not teal) and wear blue heels....if you are adventerous. I'm not, but my sister does stuff like that all the time and she always looks great when she does.

  • I would do a metallic, either flat or a heel, depending on the occasion.
  • I agree with pp - a nude/neutral color shoe.  I also think a gold sandal type could go also.  Btw - very cute dress!
  • Ditto everyone on the nude or gold suggestions, though I have a pair of teal heels that I would totally rock.

But if you need to buy new shoes, the nude will be more worth it.

  • Thanks ladies!

I was thinking nude colored heels, but wasn't sure.  I would love to get some cute blue shoes, but I'm afraid I'd never wear them with anything but this dress.  I'm going to raid my mom and sister's closets this weekend before I go out and buy something.

It's for a graduation party at a country club type setting, so I'm thinking I can get pretty dressed up.

  • I'm always amazed at the occasions I have to wear my fun colored heels, but I also didn't or wouldn't spend a lot on them. Might be worth a perusal at TJ Maxx or Ross just to see what they have for cheap.

But my nude heels have definitely come in handly lately.

I agree with the beige/nude or you could do a heel/sandal that showed most of your foot with a little black if you went that way. I have a pair with a strap across my toes and around my ankle but mostly all you see is my foot. I wear them when i don't know what color. Gl
