I consider myself very liberal but for whatever reason I like Laura Bush!! and I feel funny about it! I can't tell DH, because he probably will think I'm not serious!

I do agree with your point if the person was someone I knew in person, lets say a coworker, ..., but when you are a political public figure such as her, her politics defines her!
What's not to like? She's smart, refined, gorgeous, and seems very, very sweet and kind. She likes kids and wants them to read. Hard to not like her.
Her political views are opposite of mine. Also, I would not have married GW. But, I like a lot of people who's taste in men are questionable.
