F/U on the dog who was attacked in front of my work.

The little maltese who was attacked last week by a pit bull is doing so well!  She has a lot of shaved patches and a couple drains coming out of her at weird angles (she kind of looks like a science experiment gone wrong) but she is such a trooper.  A reporter from our local paper came and interviewed everyone involved in her rescue and the story was front page today (!).  The story is kind of poorly written but here is a link to it with a pic of the pup.

  • OMG!  That sounded terrible!  Poor thing!

Glad she is doing well and there are people out there (in a Prius-that made me laugh-and from your place...) that helped the dog out.

Thank you for the follow up!

  • Thanks for the update. Glad Sophie is going to be ok. Hopefully the pit owner will face more punishment than just having her dog taken away.

  • So terrible and sad for both Coco and Sophie.  I am glad to hear that Sophie is doing well though and how nice that so many people were ready and able to jump right in and help.  Someone was looking out for Sophie that day, that's for sure.
  • So glad to hear Sophie is doing well!

Sad to hear about Coco though.  I understand why they have to euthanize them but it just disgusts me because a human is ultimately responsible but the dog pays the price.

Poor Sophie! I'm glad she's doing better!

I know. . it is very sad about Coco.  We had to keep her caged up until Animal Control could come and pick her up and she was just sitting in the kennel as if nothing had happened.  Just wagging her tail.  She was a sweet girl who just had horrible parents.
