recovering dining chairs - fabric question
I'm inheriting a dining table and chairs from my grandparents, but they are pretty dated. Here's a picture.
Would it look weird to put a more modern fabric on those chairs(not too contemporary, but I'd like to stray away from really traditional fabrics if I can) , or should I stick to something more traditional since the set is pretty dated-looking?

I don't know the style of your house but as soon as I saw the picture I had this image in my head of the chairs having a grey/silver fabric. Don't ask why, I don't have an answer as to why!
