quick--no thinking--if you are invited to a 1pm bridal shower do you expect lunch or heavy snacks or something else.
There are no wrong or right answers here, I'm just looking to see what most of you might "expect."
And if it matters, for those of you who come from different areas of the country where expectations might be different, give me your bigger expectation over your smaller one (if if up in NY you'd expect a lunch at that time, but down here you might only expect cheese/fruit, tell me lunch.) TIA!!
Re: 1pm bridal shower--food
i would expect food. more along the lines of lunch. but a simple appetizer buffet is fine - chicken salad & pimeno sandwiches, pasta salad, fruit & veggie tray, etc...
Awesome!! Thanks for your feedback ladies!!
And Terp, my only feeling is that if a shower was scheduled at, say 11:30 or noon, it would be legitimately expected to serve an actual meal. It might just be sandwiches and some sides, but that to me is still a meal. Something that starts at say 2:30 would signal (to me) "refreshments and light snacks only". Our invite didn't specify, but the ideas I have in my head go along very well with what most of you have suggested!!
