All Staten Island MOMS....Please come in....
We recently moved to the South Shore of SI and trying to find kid friendly places to eat and things to do. Any suggestions? We have been to Applebee's many times and are getting very tired of it. Where else is good and kid friendly? I'm also trying to think of things for my 4 year old to do over the summer (not a camp!). Any help would be great!
Thanks.
Re: All Staten Island MOMS....Please come in....
While I'm not a mom, like Nova I have been on SI my whole life.
Honestly I don't think there is to much on the south shore for kids. I'm sure the library has some programs for kids in the summer (Marie maybe you clarify if you're reading this), there's wolfe's pond park, which has a beach, picnic area, dog park, beach which is nice, there is a roller rink in Tottenville.
On the north shore you have the zoo which is great for kids, you have high rock park, you have a fun station (or fun zone) in Travis, which is like mid island. I can't think of to much else. I'm sure there are lots of programs that being without children I would have no idea.
But I think the island is small enough that even taking public transportation it isn't so bad. But I understand wanting to stay close to home too with a little one.
