In Feb. I was told that my job was being outsourced in May and that we would be transitioning to the outsourcing company on May 9th. My current company is making us do an exit interview this week. It is online (very personal huh?!?) and here are some of the actual questions and responses I wanted to put.....
Question #1: What is the 1st reason you are leaving the company?....umm my job is being outsourced so I really didn't have a choice in the matter
Question #2: What is the 2nd reason you are leaving the company?...ummm again my job is being outsourced so I really didn't have a choice
Question #3: What is the 3rd reason you are leaving the company?....are you freakin kidding me? my JOB is being OUTSOURCED you moron
Question # 8 What could the company have done differently to make your department a better place to work? ... how about not outsourcing it
Question # 9 What could the company have done to make you stay?...let's see not outsourcing my job would have been a pretty good start
I just put generic answers but I didn't know whether to laugh or be disgusted. I know it is just a generic questionaire that they probably are required to give but really. There are over 400 people company wide that are getting the heave ho and are expected to answer this.
Re: Exit Interview Questions
I would have answered the way you wrote it here.
Honestly, they aren't going to read them.
I hope the new group you are with doesn't suck so much.
TTC #1 13 cycles, CP 6/09, TTC #2 1 cycle
CDing, EP'd for 13 months for #1, BFing for #2
Pregnancy Hypertension - inductions at 39w, I grow big babies: DD was 9 pounds 1 ounce 22 inches, DS was 11 pounds even 22 inches - both vaginal deliveries
Ditto!
How insulting! Honestly, if I was on my way out the door due to something like this, they would have gotten something really salacious and two middle fingers up. "C-Ya, b*tches!"
LOL!
Here's to a non sucky new group!
This. I would really tell them what I was thinking. That is really rude for them to make you answer those questions.
Unfortunately for the next 2-3 months I will be training people from India to do my job because it is also being offshored. After that I either need to find another contract(which will be pretty unlikely) or lose my job.
Ugh, that sucks, and of course the company knows that you will do it because you just lost your job and need the money. I hate corporate America. I also hate working for a private enterprise. Looks like winning the Lotto is my only hope
