I was just reading your post below about your job . What do you do for a living? Just curious...
DH works as an Analyst for Prudential (life ins). He was in a very similar situation about 3-4 years ago. He actually had to go to India to train the newbs in the dept. He thought he was for sure losing his job when he came back . As it turned out, his work in India got him a new and better postition in the company(he used to be in re-instatements). Unfortuntely he know helps build systems that make other peoples jobs obsolete.
But, just wanted to let you know there is light at the end of the tunnel in these situations. You never know what the future may bring.

Thanks for the words of encouragement.
I'm in IT and I'm afraid that this is just a glimpse of what the future of IT is. I'm really considering a career change to nursing. It will take a few years to do but think it is more stable and will be something that I can actually make a difference in people's lives rather than just make money for a company.
I've been with this company for 10 yrs and am so comfortable in what I do and who I work with but I know something good will be in my future.
