*TMI*

I got my period back last month on the 6th.....YAY! Crying

I forgot how much I hated it! The cramps and yucky feeling and I kept forgetting to "take care" of myself! I guess babies will do that to you..lol

It was SUPER heavy...not my normal. I was max 4 days and if I wanted to (I didn't) I could go the whole day on one pad. This time it was a tampon + pad and changing every hour.

Now...I'm waiting for it again.

My Questions:
Was your period very different after having your kids? Did it go back to the 'old way'? were you regular afterwards? How long before it was normal again?

Oh and yes I'm late but NO CHANCE I'm prego...LOL

Re: *TMI*

  • Mine got lighter, but I don't remember now what my first one was like. They were regular pretty much right away after the first couple, which was a first for me (I have PCOS). I didn't get mine until 9 months pp.

  • My first one was terrible, but they have gone back to normal now.  I was also unlucky and got mine back really quickly after the baby.
  • I stopped nursing/pumping almost three months ago and I'm still waiting for mine to show up. But then that (no AF) is back to old ways for me. Not good news, since I'm starting to think about TTC#2. Sad

From what I've read, the first few are often wonky but then they often get back to normal...

  • My first one after Josh was terrible, I had the worst cramps and I felt so terrible and it was really heavy at around 8 months or so.  It did go back to normal by the second one though.  I still haven't gotten it back this time (8 months PP, so yay!) I am still breast feeding so not sure when it will come back.

  • The first 4 months after giving birth I found that my AF's were always super heavy.  For me it usually takes about 1 year for my cycles to go back to normal.  I'm sure it is different for everyone though.
  • I've had 2 periods since DD was born and they've been pretty much the same as they were pre-pregnancy. Maybe a bit heavier, but not too bad. And while I used to get really bad cramps and back-ache, that stopped after having LO #1.?
  • My PP was very very heavy. I didn't think it would end. It lasted for a while but now it's back to how it used to be 1 heavy day and a couple of light days. My period is pretty much back to how it was before but off from a couple of days from month to month.

  • I got mine at 3m pp (even with EBF'ing) - sah-weet

Mine are heavier than before I was pregnant and they last longer BUT no cramping. My body = weird.

  • mine were sooooo heavy after baby. There weren't any cramps which was a bonus but I would say heavy and inconsistent for just over a year.  Some months now they've been off with timing but no where near as heavy however not as light as pre baby.

  • Thanks ladies!!!

AF arrived today, of course always when you start to worry, right? No major cramps like before but lots of the yucky-'crampy' feelings...Blah! and super-uber-duper heavy....hopefully it won't take long before it goes back to normal [fingers crossed that it does eventualy].

off to eat me some chocolate Wink

  • I never got mine until 6months PP with DS#1,I EBF,  but when it came it was very horrible, it was heavy and I felt ill, it was like this for a couple of months only and then back to normal, lighter, less cramps and only 3-4 days.  I still have not got my period yet this time around almost 3 months PP and am very happy about that, I am EBF as well.
